    Gazil Hellas as a coordinator and project manager, with the contribution of the Spanish company CRINGAS as a technology equipment provider as well as the Hellenic Construction Company ATEKE, successfully completed the construction and installation of a storage and gasification station (liquefied natural gas) for the needs of a small scale gas supply, Co-Generation of High Efficiency Electric Power & Heat (CoGHEEPH).

    This LNG small scale Station is 24/7 active from October 2024 and supplies with Gas a Co-Generation of High Efficiency Electric Power & Heat Unit with nominal electric power 1Mwe. This Unit has the ability to satisfy sufficiently the energy needs of a hydroponics greenhouse for tomato cultivation to Serres as well as part of the needs for electric power to the local community. In this way, it contributes to saving primary form of energy from fossil fuels (natural gas) and reduces carbon dioxide footprint. The reason is that part of the exhaust gas burns in the CoGHEEPH unit and then it is channeled into the greenhouse, for acceleration and control of temperature and humidity contributing to the photosynthesis during hydroponic cultivation of tomato.

    The small scale CoGHEEPH unit has been constructed according to the highest levels and directives of quality and safety. Construction was completed in less than 11 months.
